For some reason I was still feeling the sting from playing Chemical X-Traction a while ago and decided to check these GBC games, my cousin actually had Bad Mojo Jojo, but I played Paint the Townsville Green, because it had Buttercup. There's also Battle Him where you play as Bubbles, but who cares?

The reason I address all three of these games is because they are functionally the same gameplay-wise, with the big differences just being the character you play as and the stages. For whatever reason they went max capitalism on these games and made three of them with link cable support to get kids to trade cards they collected in-game, which is dumb because there's a password to unlock all the cards anyway. Gameplay is simple as ever with it just a being a sidescroller where you need to reach the end and clumsily fight the boss. You can collect all the useless trinkets if you want, but they don't seem to really do much aside from increasing your score. You will be disappointed to hear that the girls have been nerfed heavily from the show, because here they can only fly for a small amount of time, their punches are awkward to use, and no-name criminals fresh out of jailbreak can easily do damage to them with their bare fists. You can also use projectile attacks assuming you have the ammo for it in the form of Chemical X you pick up, Blossom uses her freeze breath, Bubbles has some kind of wind blast thing that stuns enemies, while Buttercup shoots a black substance that I assume is some kind of chewing tobacco.

Honestly, I don't have much else to say about these other than I'm still kinda reeling that they decided to effectively split the game into three. Like it's kind of impressive they'd go that far, especially since these games really aren't impressive for GBC. They're still less oppressive than Chemical X-Traction, my ears are so pleased these games aren't spamming the title theme constantly.
