I just now got back from night 2 and had close to floor seats.

I have NEVER seen a crowd deflate that quickly. I actually saw entire families outside with their kids crying and their parents consoling them telling them "it isn't real don't worry it isn't real don't be upset" and the kids just crying harder. They had their man right there. Actual idiots lmao.

Genuinely one of the worst booking decisions I have ever seen. You lay out one of the best storylines in a long time that makes the bloodline interesting again, and you have a feelgood story in the making and instead of capping off the biggest show of the year with an epic ending to it and ascending someone out of it.....you just hand out yet another dirty win for Roman? We go back to the status quo? Like when is the title run ending? You had your chance to make something of it, and you just blow it. Who cares when he loses it now at this point? You're not gonna get a story that hot again, and I don't feel good about the top belts being potentially held hostage for another year, good grief.

I thought this company had it together but clearly Vince is still in charge and he cares more about cheap short-term shock value than potential long-term profit. Appreciations, I am so sorry you had to attend that shit live. At least Gunther retained, he's the real world champion in my eyes.

That's the thing, it wouldn't be as egregious if it wasn't the same finish every single time but it is. They ended WM on the same finish by a dude who was literally sent off already. It'll probably be another year and all this time the entire midcard/uppercard will have been ransacked and ruined because they want this dude to fight a part timer who pulled his groin last time he was out there years ago.

My favorite part was easily Gunther retaining, so we're in definite agreement there. I wish I could properly explained how confused and genuinely pissed people were at that main event. It wasn't "grr bad guy wins" heat, it was "why did i spend so much going to this, why do i keep watching" heat. From people who I saw losing their shit all night.

Yeah it is pure copium on their part. The key is to make a good villain that people want to see lose and there is actual creativity involved, depth to them. There was depth to the storyline but it hinged on this finally being the comeuppance. We got none of it and I swear, every single 2 night mania has had a banger first night and absolute ass second night.

This doesn't feel like subverting expectations and making a villain more hated, it screams of a booker who is obsessed with being a troll and having a boner for heat. Should've known better from the dude involved with that booker t match at mania. You have to really fuck up bad if someone actually GOES to mania and after, doesn't really want to watch the show anymore. I wasn't even a cody guy either, I was full Zayn but even so. This was the time and will go down as a fumbled bag of massive proportions. Fuck 'em.
