Jedi Fallen Order is pretty well-rounded when it comes to everything that a game really needs, The combat is interesting and leaves a large variety of skills for you to use that keep you locked in the moment when it matters, the main weapon used: the Lighsaber is unique in its own way because of the different abilities presented such as deflecting, throwing, parrying, and more. All of these abilities are used in perfect tandem and feel overall mechanically smooth to use and perfect, the lightsaber duels are where you will see the peak of the game's combat and systems, as you not only need to manipulate force abilities against your opponent but you must manipulate the environment as well, if you're not familiar with the boss fight itself then it can be a maze of twists and turns that you have to surpass, and you will have to think quickly if you want to survive (though the lowest difficulty really doesn't leave many challenges at all to the player that's to be expected.)

Moving on, the story and narrative itself are nowhere near an average Star Wars plot, sure There is an overarching power that needs to be stopped, a theme we've seen in previous and current Star Wars media, but the characters that join you to reach this common goal are teeming with life and emotion, not only thanks to the voice acting but the actions that they perform and the choices they make in the situation, both past and present. You will see many figures relevant to the story of Star Wars itself, but if you haven't played the game yet then I'll leave that for you to discover. The protagonist, Cal goes through many points of character development and self-discovery, especially through the latter points of the game's story. He's in a constant battle with himself and others while trying to face his past and battle against his enemy of the present. While flawed, Cal is a character whom you will never have to dread playing because of his journey as a Jedi and his encounters with different characters, though you will meet some more than others.

The world and setting of Jedi Fallen Order are constantly changing and shifting from planet to planet, you'll never be reminded of one planet when going to another because all of them have such a dramatic shift of feeling and tone, you'll most likely have "worst" and "best" planet by the end of your playthrough but rest assured at least each area has a unique and (hopefully) unforgettable impact on the player. Some areas hold a certain significance to the characters that you meet and interact with. And some are just extras for you to discover on your own time, If the player desires a change of pace or wishes to retrace their steps to grab a collectible or upgrade they weren't able to reach on their first go-around.

In the end, Jedi Fallen Order is a great game to clear through for the very first time and keeps the player engaged in the story, setting, and combat all the way through with a pretty consistent pace through the game, with no large difficulty spikes or filler objectives, although I, myself haven't played the game as of recent, from my memory I don't believe there were many if at all, missions that could be considered "linear" or "point A to point B", so with that said, Jedi Fallen Order is one of Respawn's better games in their arsenal along with the Titan Fall franchise and Apex Legends. I believe that Jedi Fallen Order, while not a masterpiece of gaming, had metric tons of thought and consideration practically brimming from it, this game was unarguably solid material for maybe not GOTY but for gaming in its whole.
