Everything(besides two things) is improved upon from the first game. A lot of people complained that the what was added wasn't enough for sequel which is dumb considering how much this game adds trough seemingly minor changes making it feel new and fresh. The open world(besides the car chases I guess) is objectively better in ever way and the MJ missions were actually fun with the second one being on the best missions in the game.

The movement? Amazing, the increased speed, web wings and the more fluid movement and transitions from flips into swinging is flawless.

Gameplay? Besides the gadgets the gameplay added a lot of mechanics such as the new abilities and the parry system makes it were you can't play it like ps4 making you relearn parts of the game.

Story? It's better than ps4, a lot of people think that this story is bad and to them I say we clearly did not play the same game and you clearly did not understand it.

The side quests? Hit or miss, some like The Flame side quests were 10/10 with a more unique and better take on Cletus Kasady than Venom 2. But other are the like the homecoming side mission(if you know you know) which was needless.

The only objective downgrades were the stealth(which isn't the main focus of the game by a long shot) and gadgets with the only gadgets that I would like to see a return is the trip mine and the impact web.

Overall its cons that weigh it down because its strength bring it so high. Baldur's Gate 3 deserved game of the year but this is still my game of the year.
