I never understood the appeal of DOOM before actually trying it with Eternal. I didn't get how a game of nothing but mindless shooting could stay entertaining and avoid becoming monotonous within an hour. I get it now.
Total fun, the fights are such a rush and everything in between is nice as well: Serviceable story, cool set pieces, nifty collectibles. Some of the levels do drag on while overall the campaign is kinda short, plus the multiplayer definitely isn't my thing (and it's dead anyways). Super excited to eventually try the 2016 DOOM now that I realize the series in indeed for me after all.
