Though id check this out as I got switch online and never played a metroid game. Holy guacamole is this game good.

Never thought metroidvanias would interest me much but I was wrong, the progression is so consistent and fun, and the boss battles were absolutely excellent. I found the difficulty in this game just right. And the atmosphere was just so good, it captures that grim sci-fi feel perfectly.

This game feels very timeless as well, nothing about it really felt too "old-school". Only thing I didnt like is the space jumping suit upgrade, it was so hard to get the jump timing right.

Excited to play the other metroid games now.
