Having skipped over the first game in favor of the recently released sequels, I was a bit worried how I would feel when I finally got back around to trying this. To be frank, I kinda thought it would feel a bit jank after 9 years and I was concerned I might not like it as much as a result. Well fuck all that shit cuz this game holds up insanely well. Sure there are a few issues that the sequels iron out but as a whole this is a fantastic game. Super fun stealth gameplay with gruesome ways to execute foes, and hilariously dark non-lethal ways to deal with them as well. Arkane's environment/level design is always top tier and the Dishonored series has some insanely underappreciated lore and world building. Excellent stuff.
