The ways in which Drawn to Life breaks the fourth wall make the experience sweetly intimate, and its unique presentation delights with soothing tunes and exquisitely animated pixel art. However, the story is too bland to leave an impact, and gameplay is even more vapid: with extremely basic and mostly dull stages, platforming rarely gets interesting in challenge or structure, and while the drawing mechanic offers a charming degree of customization, it's nothing but a superficial feature.
