LOG

Damn this game is long. My wrists are killing me.

LOG

I have entered a state of paranoia where I am almost certain one of these characters Im interacting with is a mole.

Potentially spoilers (hypothetically I guess?) but Demiens pic on the Clues page has him wearing a suit I dont think the player has seen him wear prior to the Employee Survey? Like the feeling Im getting is that its either bugged (or poorly QA'd) and showing me a version of Demien meant to appear later in the game.

If it turns out to be true, itll be a moment where this games presentation slipped from "amateurish" to "outright detrimental" to the experience.

I can already tell this "Employee Survey" part is gonna be the part I have the most issue with. Its less about me "telling the truth" and more about quizzing me with gotchas involving details I might not quite even know.

LOG

- Wrists still on fire, I think my mouse maybe sucks but this game is also pretty demanding on the clicking and mousing.

- Story is novel I think but its also kind of aimless? So far the story is "life is hard" but not in like, a uniquely "Wyutai" way. The issue Im puzzling myself to I think is that the main character (Ned Neilson, Ned Flinstone, whatever his last name is) has basically no interests or values. At the start of the game, it was suggested that Ned was gonna break out of the country but that has come up very little since then. It doesnt seem to be on his mind all that much.

---------- FIRST IMPRESSIONS
------

.
- As a personal issue, mouse-only is gonna murder my wrists. I restarted the beginning already to drop the difficulty down, I probably should have dropped it down all the way to visual novel mode cuz its still asking quite a bit of my frail tendons. Im too far in to restart again and my desire to get it over as quickly as possible is probably gonna do the game a disservice on some level.

- The setting and concepts are fun and compelling, but also arent enough to really sink my teeth in.

- I think the design progression has been praiseworthy, things are happening at an unexpected pace (which means the design is working as intended)

- Artstyle is a lil cheap, the writing often has typos (the game never correctly says "batches" even tho its sometimes even a component of the gameplay) which makes the previous design cleverness more surprising.

- Solid 4/5 experience so far, my major issue is a personal one (cant hold it against the game that I have a bad mouse/ wrist setup)
