Demon's Souls is for me a ride on the border between hate and love. I have to make it clear that I have never played a game by Fromsoftware. However, I would like to catch up on that as well. I have two big problems with the game:

1. virtually nothing is explained. I am completely new to the ARPG terrain. I am not familiar with the common Soulsbourne character level design or any other concept of the genre. You can get a lot wrong and ruin an entire playthrough. It doesn't really make it any easier and I made several mistakes that I'm sure I can avoid on a second playthrough (worst mistake, consuming demon souls).

2. the servers of the game have been taken offline. The game can no longer be played in full today and there is a lot missing. The online features all sound very interesting but offline they are all missing. That's why I'm already looking forward to the PS5 remake, which does indeed look really brilliant.

Apart from that, I don't have to say too much. For hardcore gamers, Demon's Souls has been legendary long enough and for newcomers I can only advise them to use the internet. Look for help which the game doesn't offer. Be patient and learn. The game is really good, if you want to invest the time to get better.
