Hell what a trip that was. I never imagined that I might actually like the Souls games THAT much.
I've had the Souls games in my backlogged catalog for ages. The reason I've never touched any of them? Well, one of them is the reputation of how incredibly hard the games are. Honestly guys, you're exaggerating. After the freezing cold shower that Demon Souls gave me, I was initially surprised at how simple and easy it was to get into Dark Souls. Of course, there are some tough passages in Dark Souls as well. Namely Anor Londo and the corresponding boss... (Don't talk to me about it, I'm still frustrated how easily I could defeat the two crapbags after numerous failures).
After two games of Fromsoftware, I can legitimately say I understand the hype, but the reputation precedes the games, which may deter new players. Take heart, it's not that bad. But bring patience. and the will to learn new things. With that, you can have an exceptionally awesome gaming experience.
