Fascinating entry in the Super Mario series, and highly influential of course. Pretty much set the standard for all side-scrolling platformers going forward, but I have to admit that it's a little dated in some aspects. World 7 is particularly brutal but I enjoyed the difficulty curve and felt that it increased consistently as I traversed the world.
