Insane game, truly one of the greatest video game landmarks. It’s been essentially 10 years since I replayed the story on PS4 and wanted to benchmark my PC and boy it handled the game beautifully. Ultra graphics, everything on max settings and in 21:9, it absolutely looks like an amazing Hollywood film. Although with great characters who have very real feelings and emotions, the story isn’t as deep as you’d want. I suppose it’s a GTA game where the main appeal is to fuck around and pull some heists so it doesn’t matter much but i would like more depth with our three protagonists.
It’s really a great joy to enjoy Los Santos. It never feels boring and has you enthralled throughout, even coming across random events of some high or drunk npcs. Hella excited for GTA 6 which can easily beat GTA 5. There’s plenty of room for improvement for GTA. Driving is too arcady and top speeds aren’t as fast as you’d think. Shooting is very lacklustre, on controller it locks on and is basically ohko and on mouse/keyboard, it’s just- eh. It doesn’t feel amazing to shoot. Melee combat is embarrassing and I want nothing to do with it. It was okay in a game like LA Noire to have these caveats but not in a blockbuster game like GTA 5. Fuck GTA online though.
