Because I'm the sicko who loves the open world checkbox style of gameplay, this expansion's relatively sparse map was a minor disappointment. I liked what was there, but especially since you have flying mounts now I spent most of the game pointing my Sunwing in a direction and waiting for a few minutes until I got where I was going. There was less to stumble upon than in the main game, fewer activities to complete.

I really liked the story here, and while I would have loved Aloy to stay true to her clueless, love-is-dumb-and-a-waste-of-time ways from the main game, Seyka is a worthy love interest. The romantic tension between the two is really well written and acted.

I really loved being able to visit ruined Universal Studios, and for some reason there being a canon lore reason for how the Hollywood sign survived 1000 years tickled me. Excited for the next game, not so excited for the inevitable 5 year wait.
