Definitely the best of the Game Boy Wario Lands. The levels are varied and interesting, and it definitely hit the sweet spot between what 2 and 3 seemed to be going for. Backtracking through some of the levels to find the diamond pieces was still kind of tedious. I’d love to see a remake on Switch with some modern polish, maybe with Shake It’s art style.

Also as a lifelong fan of WarioWare who’d never played this before it was wild to hear the Wario voice clips originate here. Those Wa-hahs and No-nos are burned into my brain and I had no idea they were lifted from this game.
