conflicted on this. i had a good time with it, but when a game is so lacking in originality, it takes a toll on the experience; even in the dlc it refuses to evolve from its predecessor. considering the major themes of the work, it's rather ironic. i will say that it has some really great fights and levels (the cathedral and irithyll are both absolutely amazing), but that's kind of it. it's also interesting as the precursor to elden ring, but when viewed like that it's... less than positive. idk. just a very lukewarm experience to me, it's as filled with brilliance as it is annoyance.
