This review contains spoilers

It has quite a few flaws and the ending is extremely up its own ass (though I like that). But any game that makes me smile and choke up this much is probably doing something right, even if it's leaning all the way into nostalgia and being a metacommentary on remakes, fan expectations, and wish fulfillment. I think they pretty much nailed it.
