A genuine improvement to the 1st game in just about every way and one of the standout budget, double-A action games of that era: it stands tall next to kin like Space Marine and Republic Commando.

Campaign was full throttle, varied in each of the 14 chapters; the shooting was more solid and responsive than ever; the weapon variety was exciting; and the soundtrack was basically Doom Lite before Doom 2016.

Now that we're getting Space Marine 2, this has gone straight to the top of the list of Games I Hope Get a Sequel One Day. Goddamn do I hate IP licensing for taking this series away from us and burying it under the shitshows that are Hasbro and Activision.
