I've still yet to see a compelling argument as to how the open-world formula benefited Dark Souls in any meaningful way.

lol terrible take, but I'm not surprised coming from a loli profile pic
"Bloated and Tedious busywork" Yeah man, you can just go around and discover places on your own and almost always get something unique. Totally the same as Assassin's Creed and Far Cry.

Do you even think before you type?

It's simply a masterpiece, no other Souls game has this much content..

When I boot up Elden Ring, I know I'm in for another amazing day of content. I stand on the edge of a cliff, look out and at the world map and think "Wow, look at all that content". I find my 20th catacomb and think to myself "Yes! Another piece of content". I fight yet another burial watchdog and think "I can't believe how much content there is". I pick up a greatsword, which I sadly can't use, but I am still grateful for more content.

To put it simply: Elden Ring is absolutely brimming with content. There is simply so much content to experience.
