While the console version of Proving Ground is a mediocre husk of what was once a great franchise, the DS port, weirdly enough, is probably my favorite handheld port of any Tony Hawk game (not counting the PSP games). This is because there's not a lot of bullshit. The console version includes awful shit like nail the manual and carving, but this name just sticks with the basics, while adding a good variety of new challenges and even some exclusive tricks. It's basically American Sk8land but improved, which I already praised in a previous review I wrote. This game does get quite annoying at points, as it can actually be really hard, but honestly, I would recommend this to any fans of the series.
