I get it, Konami wants to appeal to a younger audience and cash in like Resident Evil is doing, but this is not Silent Hill, and they are doing a terrible job at it. It's just a tag to attract attention before releasing SH2 Remake and towards the atrocious SH ascension. There are literally tons of games like this one - walking sims with some chase horror sequences - out there, nothing new, nothing groundbreaking. At this point, I would rather they focus only on pachinko slots. I understand that creating another character like James is a tall order, but this cringe teen?
Also, poor Yamaoka Akira.
I guess the only good thing is that it is free.

It has some nice features like complete animated scenes with voice acting which for the time period was mind blowing, then again if you don't know the story prior to playing the game you won't understand much since the cut-scenes are extremely summarized and cut/re-invented to fit into the game (probably for time restrictions). Gameplay follows the exact same formula than the games from the Famicom or super nintendo, nothing new here really. Music for me is a downside since there are no bangers sadly which is a must for Captain Tsubasa games.
You have better options if you want to play old tsubasa games, imo best one is Captain Tsubasa Vol. II: Super Striker. (btw the description in backloggd for this game is incorrect)

An extremely unique experience, frustrating at times but very rewarding by the end and as a whole.

Extremely hard, brutal, fast paced with many maany combos and special moves to use, and on top of all that kick ass music that goes along with the game.
For a fan-made game (made with OpenBOR), it doesn't get any better than this.

Who's the hardest motherfuckers around, huh?
