A decent uncharted inspired over the top cinematic adventure game. When I say over the top, I mean, constantly (almost every two minutes of gameplay) barely making a 20 foot jump from a crumbling/flaming tower while being shot at...
The 'anthropology' is laughable. It isn't successful at the open worldy kind of things it tries to pull off, and Laura feels like a weak character. Not weak in a physical or mental sense. No, she is super human, constantly being tortured, stabbed, cut, taking huge deadly falls, etc... There just isn't much to her. The strongest part to her is the pseudo-LBTQ relationship she has with Sam, who you are trying to save throughout the game. A little nice it's a girl trying to save a girl in this video game, but still, it's very worn territory.

Despite all of that, I still enjoyed it for the visuals and the fun exploration and movement that the game offers. Even 8 years later, running the game on max settings looks really great most of the time and the story has enough of a pull that it at least keeps you entertained while you enjoy running around the environments.
