Sights & Sounds
- Very well-done pixel graphics
- Music is serviceable, but not really all that memorable

Story & Vibes
- I won't get spoilery, but I will say that I like how the plot gets dropped little by little as you progress through and level up your village. The pacing of the story is one of the highlights of this game and adds to the intrigue
- Beyond that, the game feels a little thin in terms of plot

Playability & Replayability
- Your gameplay experience mostly consists of placing tiles and waiting to see what happens. If your character runs into a monster, you'll watch the automatic battle. If you run over tiles that heal you, you get healed. Other tiles grant passive bonuses. That's basically it
- Beyond that, the game is more or less a grindfest. You'll gather resources, level up your village, and change up your deck until you're able to beat a boss. After that, you'll change characters and do it again
- It's good that the game largely plays itself, because you'll want to have a show or movie to watch in the background
- There's a lot of forced replayability. You can't advance without it
- The gear system is interesting since it does give you an opportunity to switch up builds early on if what you're doing isn't working well on your current map

Overall Impressions
- This is the first deckbuilder I've played in this style, and I'm confident in saying it's not for me. I can tell by the number of positive reviews that I'm the one who's off-base here, so it's likely that you'll probably enjoy it

Final Verdict
- 4.5/10. Some nice and novel features get buried beneath a grindy snoozefest
