This shit was hard. Some of the best pixel art ever here, but the amount of level repeats just to get to a block that would insta-kill or a ridiculous boss was too many to count. Had to put it down on Lava Reef Zone. These wouldn't have bothered me so much if there wasn't a life system that booted you to the beginning of the zone when you game-over'd. I understand its faithful to the original games, but I unfortunately don't have time to repeat a whole zone (like 10 minutes of gameplay) more than three times. Aside from my issues (I recognize that I'm just not good at these games), its probably the best Sonic game ever made. Precision platforming is still really bad in all of these games, though.
