It's incredible what advancements have been made in the last 25 years since Half-Life's release.
I've played some huge and complicated games this year, but returning to HL shows me just how far you can get with an engaging story and gameplay. What Starfield was unable to do in 100 hours of playtime, Half-Life soared in only 5.
Don't get me wrong, there's plenty that Half-Life could improve on (as proven by Black Mesa), but given how old this game is, it's incredible just how much it still manages to accomplish.
A true classic. If you don't play this game, at least play Black Mesa.
