Psychological action thriller in series format. I finally got to watch Alan Wake.
First of all, a great game! The story was interesting and engaging. I found Chapter 4 the best.
Visually atmospheric and also nice to look at in the remaster. You notice the age, especially in the characters.
The gameplay requires you to get into it, but similar to Control, it's really fun once you get the hang of it.
The puzzle, enemy and level variety left a lot to be desired. It felt like I had walked the same path in the forest a thousand times, even though it made sense in terms of the story, it was already repetitive. What I found negative was Wake's stamina and the fact that you constantly lose your inventory. Presenting switches again and again as a solution to the puzzle or as a way to move forward was a bit small.
Had a lot of fun overall 8/10 (4/5) nightmares.

Vorab ein tolles spiel! Die Story war interessant und mitreißend. Kapitel 4 fand ich am besten.
Optisch atmosphärisch und in der gespielten Remaster auch hübsch anzusehen. Das Alter merkt man dann vor allem bei den Figuren.
Beim gameplay muss man reinkommen, aber ähnlich wie bei Control machts richtig Spaß wenn man den Dreh raus hat.
Die Rätsel-, Gegner- und Levelvarianz ließ zu wünschen übrig. Gefühlt bin ich tausendmal durch denselben Weg im Wald, auch wenn es von der Story her Sinn macht, war es schon repititiv. Negativ empfand ich noch die Ausdauer von Wake und das man ständig sein Inventar verliert. Auch immer wieder Schalter als Rätsellösung oder weiterkommen zu präsentieren war etwas wenig.
Hatte viel Spaß insgesamt 8/10 (4/5) Alpträume.
