i was very happy with this one but sometimes im not sure how i feel about it from a critical standpoint. its a very expanded-on take on pikmin with lots of very interesting new ideas; oatchi is a great addition, dandouri was very fun and challenging, night expeditions are a super cool idea, i think the dungeons are handled way better here than in Pikmin 2. but at the same time, this feels like such a strangely sanitized attempt by nintendo to re-introduce the Pikmin series to new audiences, which i can understand from a business standpoint but for me, someone who was getting the game regardless, it comes off kinda weird. especially that long asf story introduction and tutorial. Pikmin 3 felt audience-friendly and easy but still very much a game for the pre-established fans. this one felt like they were almost trying to reboot the series entirely. idk is that weird to say? i loved it regardless

the best possible case of a scenario i usually hate. i can never get down with a game where the entire hook is "you liked this other game, now play this one thats just like it!". but wow, this game is so much fucking better than Jet Set Radio ever was. this game looks fantastic, plays really well, has so many great ideas and fun mechanics, and also so much to do. couldnt have asked for a better result tbh

genius game IMO. like they knew how simple and near-sighted the kirby format is so they just came up with other shit to do. imagine that

least fav of the first 3 crash games but only because it feels the most barbaric. if crash cant slide then i cant care that much. might have the best style of the entire series tho when it comes to enemies, level themes and music

great crash game but ive never been down with the more gimmicky levels. bike riding, jet skiing, diving, etc. you know the ones

fav 3D sonic. the complaints are fair enough but i fucking love the controls and physics of this one and the level design is so wonderful. sonic, tails, knuckles are all fun to play as. e-102 is an interesting new element. amy and big suck but both of their stories take 20 minutes to complete and if you took longer than that then you shouldnt be allowed to call the game bad. even then tho i kinda love amy's story narratively

IDK i love this one. it oozes with charm and has a vibe that smash has never returned to

good sonic levels but not great ones and there are some bad ones. tails levels are boring and pointless. knuckles levels are fucking awful. shadow has 4 levels and people only remember 1 of them. rogue levels are even worse than knuckles. eggman is cool to play as but they made tails play the same way so its not cool anymore

what i find funny about this game is that people think it had good ideas and was ruined by everything else. but um, no? why would you ever want this story to happen. why would you ever want to play in levels that look like this
