I finished Maximum Carnage in 50 minutes, and I did not even had a good time with it.

Maximum Carnage is a beat em up, that has little to none unique element to it, despite being a Spider-Man game. You can crawl in one level and you can always use your webs, but that is it.

You can choose to play as the titular heroes (Venom or Spider-Man), which is an illusion of a choice, because they are identical in almost every way.

The game features a wide array of bosses (5) that you need to fight over and over again, which makes them pretty annoying.

The ending was very anticlimatic, and the overall game itself is very mediocre to begin with.

The bad guys you need to beat in every level are just a bunch of nobodies, not even some goons or something. The whole game has this random feel to it, even the story feels pretty random, despite being based on an actual comic book.

What can I say? If you want to play as Venom and beat up some random people, go for it! Otherwise, there are far better options in the genre.
