superb from start to finish (aside from the swamp of sorrow) and i love seeing the lineage of so much of what from soft would go on do to. its got the spectacle bosses, the looping levels, and the precise and engaging combat encounters. this game also has its own identity and personality all its own though, and i love the unique atmosphere and designs of all of the areas, bosses, and items.

the linear levels and ability to choose which to be working through at any time is a lot of fun. the upgrades and progression feel great in this game as well. this is the final stop in my soul’s pilgrimage, and although it was the shortest i feel really happy to experience the beginning as my ending. thanks for everything fromsoft!!!
