Games that have been on my backlog since March 17, 2013

According to HLTB, March 17, 2013 is the day that I first documented my backlog through an online account. Over 11 years later, I still haven't finished, retired, or otherwise updated this batch of games

Sly 2: Band of Thieves
Sly 2: Band of Thieves
I remember staying up late to finish Sly 1 before my last day of middle school classes (June 2012). I like Sly 1. I was excited to play Sly 2 sometime soon. For whatever reason I just never have played the game beyond the first area.
The Last Story
The Last Story
Xenoblade gave me high expectations for the other two Operation Rainfall games. It was also really tough to find Xenoblade 1 for a while, so I preordered Last Story and Pandora's Tower as soon as I was able (still haven't even opened Pandora's Tower!). I have fired up Last Story precisely one time, but just haven't found time to play it properly
Metal Arms: Glitch in the System
Metal Arms: Glitch in the System
If you googled "GameCube hidden gems" in the early 2010s, Metal Arms Glitch in the System always showed up sooner or later. I was so excited to track this one down, and I've spent a decent amount of time playing it over the years, but frequently struggled to grasp the objectives in front of me and would end up playing something else. I never outright gave up on the game, because I loved its crass personality, promised creative weapons and mechanics (such as recruiter grenades, the sawblade gun, and robot mind control), and a pretty fun head-to-head multiplayer that I played a few times. I'm playing the game currently (it was the inspiration for this list) and am having a great time as I near the halfway point.
Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves

See Sly 2. One of these days...
Ratchet & Clank
Ratchet & Clank
I made solid progress in Ratchet & Clank many years ago before retiring it and later unretiring it. I'll need a fresh start by now.
Mercenaries 2: World in Flames
Mercenaries 2: World in Flames
Very fun sandbox game that I bought when I was trying to build a PS2 collection in c. 2012 after my Aunt gave me her kids' old PS2. I have some great memories of messing around in this game, but rarely actually played any missions, and eventually the game landed on my shelf. If I ever pick it back up, I'm not sure I'll find the sandbox as enthralling as I once did.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
I still use the gold Wiimote that came with this game, but I've never managed to stick with Skyward Sword longer than a day or two. I doubt I'll ever even play the Wii version now that the HD remake is out on Switch.
