Hi-Fi Rush is a game that I was really excited to play and when I finally got around to it I realized it was definitely a game worth getting excited about. It has so much charm to it that it is hard not to admire. The best way to describe it is by saying its a PS2 platformer, but it came out today with todays standards in gameplay and graphics. This is a major compliment coming form someone who grew up on the PS2. The only gripe I have with the entire game is that I was expecting a few more licensed songs. I guess the shortage of them shouldn't be a surprise with how Microsoft has handled owning (and shutting down) Tango Gameworks. Last thing I will say will be about how recently Microsoft decided that they don't like making games by shutting down so many studios, especially ones like Tango Gameworks that make great games like Hi-Fi Rush. I really enjoyed the game and now because of some lobotomized suits at Microsoft we will likely never get a sequel. Though I am disappointed with that decision Microsoft made, I was not disappointed with Hi-Fi Rush. It was a truly special game.
