Another great addition to the Landfall Games repertoire. Quite fun, engaging, and short. There are all sorts of nice touches that make the game feel really slick to play, but also a few inadvertent consequences to it. Jumping, running, and landing feel relatively slippery which, unlike the well-defined momentum of a 2D game like Mario, feels detrimental to a first-person 3D platformer. Air control is relatively sloppy in this regard too as you can completely halt momentum. The biggest shame is that, despite the wide array of incredibly interesting gadgets and abilities, I never felt any urge to use anything outside of the double jump and slow-motion abilities. They're far too reliable while the other gadgets are incredibly unreliable. Clustertruck is certainly a fun game, a game that's a reminder of how enjoyable games can be, but it's also a game that'll test your patience and frustration.
