handles the theme of violence and consolation better than most pieces of media i've encountered--when i had first heard of this game the devolver publishing banner and the gameplay trailers made me think this was going to be another hotline miami-esque hard-as-nails live-die-repeat action game. i could not have anticipated the sheer amount of emotional depth that is displayed here. every moment of this game ruined me and i can't wait for the dlc to tear my heart out all over again.
