I made it. My journey to finish the Souls series, Bloodborne and Sekiro included, that I started after Elden Ring is finally complete.

I saved Demon’s Souls remake for last as I assumed Demon’s Souls would be the most abrasive, and the least enjoyable.

I was a little wrong.

The focus on levels being the primary skill challenge and the boss being more of a puzzle (most usually) was a nice twist on the formula for me, besides the bosses being a bit underwhelming.

The levels themselves range from mostly passable to some of the best in the series, with a couple stand outs. Only one really made me want to tear my hair out.

I gradually warned to Demon's Souls more and more as I played it, and really started to love it towards the end.

What certainly helped undoubtedly includes Bluepoint's amazing work remaking this thing. The visuals and sound design made everything feel great. Visuals are not something I obsess over but wow this game looks good.

I have started to feel weird about how many 5 star ratings I give out because I want 5 stars to really matter. I guess if I had a 10 point scale things would be easier. But whatever, this game started something so special, and this particular version is stunning, and I really really fell in love with it.

Sorry to Dark Souls 2 for being the only game I didn't give 5 stars to.

Sidenote: I wish Bluepoint could remake my life or like Metal Gear Solid or something.
