This is the Pokémon game I’ve been waiting for.
The best music, difficulty, and new Pokémon since Gen 5.
The best story, characters, and especially exploration and level/world design ever in the series.
I have 2 issues with the game. First is the performance. It definitely isn’t a “broken mess” like people are claiming, there’s not really many bad bugs in the single player mode, it’s just a bunch of frame drops and camera issues, but it still doesn’t run well. Second, the game doesn’t have any level scaling, gyms and bosses all stay the same level no matter when you challenge them, and the game doesn’t tell you the correct order to fight them in if you want to stay at the correct level curve, you can only figure it out by looking it up.
I cannot in good conscience give this game a perfect score with the performance issues, but I still think this may be the best Pokémon game ever.
