The ultimate way to experience the Metal Gear series is right here, for the most part. This is a bundle that contains in theory every MGS game from the MSX originals to Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker. There are a few missing titles in here, most notably Ghost Babel and MGS portable ops, but those games aren't canon and are optional anyways. The whole canon series is here. The bundle includes a disc for MGS4 with all the patches already on the disc (yet the online mode content has been removed), a disc for the MGS HD collection that also has the digital graphic novels, and a download code for MGS1 and MGS VR missions on PS1 classics. If you are buying this game used or in the future where the PS3 storefront is shut down, then you don't get the ability to play the PS1 games, and that kinda sucks. Other than that, this is easily the best singular purchase you can make if you want to get into the metal gear solid series and own a got damn playstation 3.
