but the first mh game to introduce verticality was also MY first introduction to the series, and I'm nostalgic as hell for it. something about that high gravity, those crunchy textures with a high framerate, and the feel of the DS in my hand (which kinda makes it hard to fight as well as with a ps4 controller) just feels right to me.
