2010

Overall, it's a good game, but I found too many shortcomings; therefore, it doesn't deserve anything more than 3.5 stars.

I'll start with the things that I actually liked about LIMBO.
First of all... the ambiance and sound design. You can really feel immersed in this title just by wearing headphones and letting the ambiance play for a while. It can be loud and unsettling, but also gentle and quiet when needed.

Next is level design (some of them, to be exact). The level designers did a good job in creating interesting and often non-obvious puzzles. Most of the time, they place us in an area with only a few objects, which really forces us to think.

There are also things that, in my personal opinion, are not really good, or sometimes even bad.
The main thing that bothers me is the later part of the game, specifically its difficulty and checkpoint placement.
The perfectly timed puzzles were cool as long as they didn't result in death, requiring you to walk all the way back to where you died. The idea is good, but the execution falls short.

In conclusion
Pros:
- Sound design
- Atmosphere
- Creative puzzles (most of them)
- Interesting world-building

Cons:
- Difficulty in the later stages of the game
- Checkpoint placement
- Ending

I expected something more, but it's still a cool game to buy (only on sale).

It's okay as a one-shot game. It's worth checking out for its cool aesthetics.

Both enjoyable and frustrating, just as it should be. The game features some quite unique mechanics and rather unconventional 'puzzles,' if they can even be called that. I recommend you try it. However, I don't recommend going for 100%... trust me... it's not worth it.

Cool game.
(I'm pretty sure level 6 has Bee Movie music btw)

I strongly advise against getting 100% in this game. It has cool and unique gameplay and soundtrack, but the grind for some of the achievements (specifically for "Illustration Collection") is disgusting and can spoil the whole fun.

Personally I would rather pay for the game and get the longer, fuller story, than download it for free and be left with something that feels just... empty and not finished. I feel like there could be a lot more to tell in this case. Anyway, still worth a shot.

It's a cool little game. Easy to 100%, repayable, and good-looking. You should try it if you haven't already.

Absolute masterpiece of a game! I love it! <3

Not really much to say about this one. It's free, short, and great to kill boredom. Boss fights could be a bit challenging, but if you just want to experience the ""story"", use the god mode for them.

Just another weird game that makes everyone go crazy about the "deeper meaning" of the plot. I wouldn't be surprised if the dev wrote the scenario (if there is any) while being drunk and it doesn't mean sh*t.

Relaxing and relatively easy. Cool game
