It's not a masterpiece, but it's not terrible either.
I have to agree with another reviewer who called it a "Painful waking sim." Throughout the game, you'll often find yourself forced to walk through the same path repeatedly just to complete the so-called "puzzle."
The level design is trash. There are many areas and spots that look like they should be accessible to player, but they turn out to be dead ends, which can be quite frustrating after crawling towards them for minutes. Additionally the lighting doesn't fit the mood at all and can't be adjusted in the settings, not even slightly (like... really, even the gamma correction is missing).
The plot is lackluster and uninteresting.
On the bright side, the 3D models look really really good. They are high quality and captivating around 90% of the time.
If, despite all you've read, you're still curious about this game, I'd rather recommend watching gameplay on YouTube instead of buying this... thing.

Oh. My. God. Where do I start...
INSIDE is a great and coherent game with lots of well-designed puzzles and, let's call them, "action segments."
The difficulty is just right for this type of game. Sometimes it can be challenging and make you pause for a moment, but usually, the solutions are easy (and fun!) to find.
The movement of the main character is well-executed and really comfortable.
The world-building deserves separate praise. It has everything you need to fully immerse yourself in the game. Amazing ambiance? Yes. Almost seamless transitions between locations? You got it! Things happening in the background? Absolutely!
Honestly, I don't know if I can say anything negative about it.
In conclusion - GO AND PLAY IT RIGHT NOW!

Still a great game even after all this years.
The only things I've found annoying especially considering the last achievement (speedrun one) were poorly responsive controls. This doesn't happen all the time as some sections can feel really really smooth, but I feel like having character react to almost everything around them (like putting hands on the walls or tripping when mashing arrow keys) should be allowed to be disabled as they are just pain in the a when trying to beat the game quickly.
Also, the checkpoints on this game could have been more frequent and more thought off.
For the positive things we have pretty much everything else. Interesting level design and world building,
fun puzzles,
ambient,
camera work (most of the times),
and of course the detailed climbing animations, which might not be a big of a deal for most people, but I've found them to be an example of devs just not being lazy and paying attention to our immersion.
I won't spoil anything, but if you don't get goosebumps during the ending you might not have a neurosystem.
To summarize: Should you play this game? Yes.
Should you 100% it? Hell no...

Oh boy, was that a waste of time...
First of all, it should've been called "Tale" because this thing is NOT creepy in the slightest.
The controls are clunky and very poorly thought out (using Z as the action key is a joke, considering that probably most people play this on WASD).
The sound effects are ridiculous and completely ruin the already weak "creepy mood" of the game.
The puzzles are annoying, relying entirely on a trial and error method. There is literally no hint on what to do, leaving you to click EVERYWHERE without any guidance. Sure, you can turn on tips in the settings, but they're still not really helpful in most cases.
Based on the unique graphics, I expected something much more immersive, atmospheric, and, first of all... fun.
Overall, it's a wasted potential. I don't recommend it unless it's on a -90% sale, and even then, think twice before buying this... thing.
