I randomly picked the game up on sale and later found it almost invisible on the internet, which is a shame.

Can it get improved: 200% yes
Did I enjoy it? Yes, I played it 3-4 times (a few years intervals)
Should you pick it up in 2024 and play it? If you are ok playing games with old/bad graphics YES, else no.

The three key parts that made me replay the game:

The story/lore: 9.2/10
The Story revolves around a dying world, and you have a magical book that can change the world's attributes. This book helps you in both combat, helping other characters, and, contributes to the story as you shape the attributes of another world. The story progression feels quite realistic (for being inside a fantasy world) and not forced in any way. The world also contains certain mysteries that make the world feel more alive.

The combat system: 5.2/10
The combat was a bit repetitive, however, I did not experience that as they featured some variations of combat styles, the battles were short, and had a good balance of story & character interaction and battles. If your main drive of playing is for pure combat then this game is not for you.

Character & character interactions: 10/10
Every single NPC was unique in both animation & personality. They were connected to the MC or story and made the world feel alive. One big part was that after some time in the game, you could make one character your lover, and oh boy do I think they nailed the gameplay surrounding it. Even today (2024) there are extremely few games i think have had better character & character interaction then this game.

In conclusion:
I give the game a 5/5, however more objectively if played for the first time in 2024 it should get 3.75/5. (mostly due to graphics & combat not aging well)
