Back then the game was about 20% of the content that it is now, and that was enough. Now the game has grown thanks to the developers who did not give up. They didn’t abandon the project, they made a new engine, they made a project from scratch that has not lost its relevance even now. The game has many mods, there is even a competitive one with seasons.
