While I don't have the time archived, this is one of my most played games, easily. Melee really is a special game, there's not many games where you can go on YouTube right now and see not only new tournaments for it , but also sets from over a decade, maybe two decades ago. It's something you don't see very often. It's rough around the edges, but in it's own way, there's something appealing about that fact. I remember a friend talking about how cool it is that "the gentleman" got it's name from a contest to see who could do it the most times in a row, comparing it to a corny shonen anime or something. That "tech"? It's Captain Falcon's way of not rapid jabbing. Something that is incredibly simple in all of the other Smash Bros. games. It's really the only tip of the iceberg with once again, two decades of developing meta in a game that was developed in in thirteen months.
