I grew up playing this game so I'm somewhat biased, but in retrospect I realize this game is quite flawed. The controls constantly feel like you're on ice, the game is glitchy, sometimes mechanics just don't work, the fact you have to play through the same levels FOUR times to unlock the final story is crazy. I could go on and on about the issues with this game. That all being said however, this game isn't that bad. The overall presentation is great for its time, and the soundtrack is just iconic. The gameplay is actually pretty fun if you can look past the slippery controls.
Maybe it's nostalgia bias, but despite its flaws I still have a soft spot for Heroes and I'll always appreciate the positives of this game.
