Pretty good. I think the combat balance is a little off, especially for melee characters, but the ranged ones were fun enough for me that that issue didn't really impact my personal enjoyment.
Story is good. It has a lot to say on the nature of oppression and racial divides, and for the most part it works. The characters are charming enough to get you to care about them, though the overall narrative is pretty standard JRPG (and Tales especially) fare. The skits are strong as always and are worth listening to.
This is the first Tales game I was able to actually finish, and I think that scores it a lot of points. Worth your time.
