The world is brilliant, new mechanics are fun. I was really immersed in the story and finished the main game in a short period of time. Plot twists are amazing and I loved how it's story connected into the other BioShock games. 10 years after it's release and I really had fun playing it.

Bioshock Infinite is genuinely great. I think people only hated it because its direction is antithetical to the first two Bioshock games, but these games, while serviceable in the narrative department, work better for their mechanics, and Infinite I found had the most fleshed out and interesting. Also liked the more linear design of this one, which is a common critique by most.

@Torri800 I think they aren't going to make any new Bioshock games and they wanted to finish the series with this masterpiece. If that's the case then it's a great ending to the Bioshock universe. It's like Christopher Nolan movies. The movie ends but still makes you wonder. I also agree with the 'linear' comment. Not every game has to have an open world, multiple endings, tons of items etc. Some just need a good story, regardless of it being linear or not.
