The sound design and voice acting in Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice was some of the absolute best I have experienced in any entertainment medium. The game was truly terrifying and did an incredible job creating a psychotic and tense atmosphere.

The lack of HUD made the game immersive, but also a tad tricky at times. The environments and vistas were gorgeous, but because of the games linear nature they were pretty much unexplorable. The rune puzzles were intriguing but did get a bit tedious and repetitive after a while.

Where the game suffers the most though is it's combat. It was very clunky and the camera angles caused a lot of unnecessary tension that was aggravating to say the least.

With a solid story that kept me going until I rolled credits, I am excited for the next entry in the series... it just might not be a day 1 game is all.
