I don't know why but it couldn't catch my attention for long.
Maybe it's the overpolished and kinda scripted gameplay, kinda not what I was expecting.
But overall it's great that we have more 3d platforms

why are the levels on this ultra repetitive and limited game so long lmao
why did RGG even bother to add this game in Infinite Wealth with a library as big as Sega's arcades?

Pretty solid game. The movements are smooth, the gameplay is fun, but it lacks a little on the repetitive level design

The remaster was generous to FF2. While the leveling system is a bit weird and unbalanced it doesn't ruin the fun, considering it's a 1988 game that should be enjoyed as such.
The story and characters are a great improvement from FF1 (but still really basic) and the new OST is superb.

I recommend it if you're curious about the FF franchise as a whole

This game is from the early 90s, and it shows. The gameplay sometimes feels stiff and imprecise, but it's still fun, the music is enjoyable, and it's kinda impressive to see an old beat 'n up with an actual storytelling.

Keep in mind that it serves more of a curiosity to see the first appearance of Misako and Kyoko - the game doesn't really connect with its successor.
