The Following brings a ton of new features but with a forgettable story in my opinion.
Gameplay
A hole new open world based on the countryside with the most noticeable addon being the buggy car. Brings a lot of new skill points and a special damage system. Alongside a whole new open world seemingly better if you have a country taste and new characters. New side quests that some are need to be completed so you can continue the main ones. Taking them from jasir and rescuing people with a reputation meter and thats how they know you are trustworthy. Overall the best feature from this expansion alongside with the buggy is the countryside map... Gorgeous as fuck.
Story
Kyle discovers a place where the people are immune to the zombie infection, that comes with the information of a cure in mind. Kyle decides to take a trip and discover about this cure in mind while knowing that antizin is running low so he goes to investigate this town. Later on he helps some survivors by taking quests from a girl named ezgi, after sometime after some quests he gets in good hand with jasir. From him you will take missions. Later on kyle finds some kind of a cultist group that somehow can control the virus in harran, by paying a visit to them in the mountain but something feels off. The antagonist in the game is being presented as a man who works for jasir's farm but he is actually the antagonist because hes leading the bandits and the remaining of rais's army. In the game the faceless a cult that has a good reputation and good a high rank. Prior to this we meet attila, a man who puts crane to search some of the cultist camps from some drawings. He tells us about the prophecy that the people who believe in the mother are willing to go in the tallest mountain to praise her, later on he actually betrayed us and he wanted to use the mask because he was thinking that he could reincarnate into a god. The faceless cult seemed to be a bit dubious, and so we kaan reveals himself to be the leader of the bandits, and so you need to take the vials and fight his men before they reach the entrance. After a two kilometer ride you climb up and see mother, the leader of faceless. She tells us her story how she choose to be here after her husband the colonel left. A tragic story but you have to choose, you can take the antidote or activate a nuclear bomb with a code that atilla told you about. The canon ending is the volatile where kyle crane is being infected as shown in the sequel.
Conclusion
Great expansion with brand new content that extends the life on the main storyline, pick up a friend or play it alone but personally the story is considered to be good but for me it was a bit lacking but in the end you have new characters and the most annoying ones being the brothers, but ya know they took a rocket in a mountain. The game felt a bit hard with the zombies always chasing you and having to kill them, psst get the nitro skill point it might help.
