Dying Light how come this game is 9 years old? dude how come techland pulled this one off? they did it and it's amazing.
Played zombie games but this one is very different and unique,
I was hardstuck at 30% in 2023 because a friend of mine had performance issues with the game and had to backlog it because I didn't want to finish it without him, well the time was here and I was left with my balls drained literally after this game.

Gameplay
Top notch, words can't describe how beautiful and immersive this open world game is, full of guns and zombies equals to tons of fun, grinding skill points only by being athletic while running to avoid zombies is simply amazing and the blueprints system is amazing and each item having a rarity. The world of dying light is full of interactions even with side quests by helping survivors in a random approach. The natural beauty and having the full render distance is worth it, this game shows how a small group of people can make miracles happen and yet I'm not even done with the gameplay section.
Having grenades and traps around the map to lure zombies feels like a great concept to me personally and how the items break and needing supplies to repair them is a nice realistic approach to the game. I feel like missing a lot of stuff to mention but by playing the game or grinding the skill tree is the fastest way possible to find new things, forgot to mention the parkour. It's fabulous is it me or I got stuck in the sewers only by having a skill issue and not knowing where to jump off? yeah it is a bit tricky but yes, 5/5 gameplay no doubts about it.

Story
This is where the fun begins - someone called obi-wan
A virus outbreak happens somewhere in harran making the whole city go in quarantine mode, the GRE is dropping supplies with antizin, a cure to stop the people from infecting with this virus but only temporary while they are hunting down a full cure. Kyle Crane drops off the helicopter but gets bitten by a zombie but it was saved and found shelter among humans. Meeting rahim a young survivor passionate of parkour and helping the people in the shelter with his sister Jade. The main protagnist is rais, a corrupt man who stole from the GRE and crane was instructed to steal back the documents stolen but he got bitten so that stopped him. Dr Zere is a researcher for the cure, and he got captured by Rais and eventually killed. After crane's bite there was an announcement that everyone in harran was dead and plans to plant a firebomb. Rais stole the research and forced crane to survive a whole arena. By that point rahim was killed and bitten by a zombie in a mission. Crane takes a crazy adventure in the sewers and then going to the slums and heading to the old town where he meets survivors but after sometime he found out that Jade, a relative of rahim who didn't trust crane so much was captured by rais in a museum and he rushed there but it was too late because she was infected and later on killed. Rais stole the research and make a deal with GRE and that made crane mad by wanting to take a revenge and getting the research back, crane was forced to crawl up in the old tower by also being chased by zombies and eventually meeting karim who was shot by rais, karim was a early character in the story. Crane had to fight rais and get the research that was made by doctor camden before he rushed to meet rais. A machete fight started but thankfully crane pulled the fight by injuring rais and that made him fall and the helicopter saved crane and the game ended, the whole plot could have gotten worse if crane gave away the research to the GRE instead of doctor camden who used to work with zere. 15 story missions and still the last one is the most badass one, solid story full of twists.

Conclusion
Words can't describe, simple as that I was captivated by the gameplay more compared to the story. Good job techland, can't wait to try the dlc as well.
