Wanted a game to play on Halloween, and couldn't decide between RE7 and Castlvania IV, so I ultimately compromise on RE8 because it has the classically inspired monster designs. I haven't really played another Resident Evil game outside of a little bit of Revelations. This one is good, but I think for me only because I like the setting and the main villain designs alot. Each of the locations (besides the factory) were really fun to play through and each had there own tone. I can see myself over time just kinda casually playing through most of the mainline Resident Evil games following this, but this also isn't making me jump to play another one right away. Still a good couple hours well spent.
